How old is Emma today?

Lilypie1st Birthday Ticker

August 9th-13th Visit trip

We went to visit Ms. Emma again! Rob decided that he could not think of a better birthday present!

July update

July Emma update
I am falling behind on my updates! I am back to work. They boys are in summer preschool. Jay lost a tooth and got glasses! Drew is doing great too. Our add on project is about to put Rob and I over the edge....but it is coming along---still not finished...but sorta closer.

We got our June update for Emma and everything was going well. There were not any pictures because she went to the doctor the day after we left....so they thought my 300+pictures I took at our visit trip would work for the June pictures!

We just got the July update with 2 new pictures! She is growing and doing so well! Here is her latest DATE: JULY-24-07. WEIGHT 14.4 POUNDS. LENGTH 62, H.C. 41 cm.

I will post the new pictures under Emma pictures July. It is hard to believe she is 4 months old now. Rob and I are so excited to see her...we leave on the 9th and will be there for Rob's birthday---what better present could he possibly get?!

Please keep praying for Emma. We believe in the power of positive thinking and faith. We are praying her home by Christmas!

Thanks for reading!

June update

I am back in Guatemala with my sweet little girl! Mom and I are visiting from the 19th to the 26th. I promise a longer blog detailing our trip later...but I wanted to share some pictures and good news on some movement in our case.

DNA has been collected for the US Embassy.

The birth mother was interviewed by the Guatemalan Family Court.

The birth mother signed off the 2nd and 3rd time and signed a POA for our lawyer to sign the 4th (and final time) if she is unable to make it.

We are so happy and do believe Emma will be our little Emma. It will still take some time as we have so many govenrments to get clearance before we can bring her home. Rob and I are coming to visit again for his birthday.

Please continue to keep Emma in your prayers. Pray that things go smoothly and that she is home in our arms as soon as possible. (I am praying by Thanksgiving.)

Our DNA results were a 99.9% match. We got the results on June 28th (my mom's birthday)! On June 29th we were logged into the US Embassy in Guatemala. We have to get PA from them to move into PGN. PA is the US government saying everything is order and Emma is "adoptable" by all their criteria. Then we have to get approval from PGN the Guatemalan government approving us. The current PA was is 60 days----we hope to hear something by the end of August!

End of May

Emma Update!

I have an update on my little Emma! We heard on Friday May 18th that all 20+ papers for our out of country birth mom are in our lawyer's hands and will be going tomorrow to be registered with the Embassy so we can get our DNA and off to Family Court!

Then Saturday morning I woke up to the best e-mail ever----our first Emma official update! We have two pictures (posted under pictures) and here are her new stats from April 30th --8.9 lbs; length 52.5; H.C. 37. Our first report at our referral was 6. 11 lbs; length 50; H. C. 35. I think she is doing well and growing like a weed!

Does she not have some attitude? I think she is going to be a one little girl who knows just want she wants when she wants it...and is going to do things at her own pace the way she wants to do it! I am sure they tried to get her to smile but she wasn't having any part of it!

We are in LOVE....and I am counting down the seconds until I get to hold her in my arms again---we leave on the 19th of June!
