We just wanted to share that Emma got PA from our government today! (We had been waiting just over 60 days!) I am so excited. We have had a HORRIBLE week and this is exactly the unexpected news Rob and I needed! (I cannot believe we heard anything on Sunday of a holiday weekend. Thanks be to GOD!) PA basically means that Emma meets the USA's standards of an orphan and can be granted US citizenship if the Guatemalan government finds Rob and I to be fit parents. We will hopefully go into PGN the end of this week or beginning of next week. PGN is what we have to go into and get OUT of before we can bring her home. We still have a pretty good wait ahead of us but getting PA is a HUGE check off the list of things to do to bring her home. After we exit PGN it will be 6-8 weeks to bring her home! We are moving closer to getting Emma home where she belongs!
